The tutorial above will go through the process of logging in and resetting your password. Written instructions are below.
Your UNE ePortfolio site is based on your UNE user name (the beginning of your UNE email). If you are a student, find your site by typing your username (including numbers) followed by .uneportfolio.org.
If you cannot remember your password or cannot find the introductory email, you may reset it using the “lost password” feature on the log-in screen. To access the log-in screen, add “wp-admin” to the end of your site URL (ex. jsmith1234.uneportfolio.org/wp-admin). Use your UNE email address as the user name. Follow the instructions, and then check your UNE email for the link to access your site. Remember that your ePortfolio password is NOT linked to your UNE Okta log in.
Once you are logged in, reset your password by clicking “howdy,(username)” in the top right corner to get to the drop down menu to select “Edit my Profile.” Scroll to the bottom of the page to the find the “Generate New Password” button. You may use the auto-generated password that appears or click in the field to type your own. Remember to choose a password that is secure and includes at least one number, special character, and capital letter. WordPress will warn you if the password is weak. Finally, scroll to the bottom of the page and click the “Update” button.
Once you have logged on, add the Meta Widget to make logging in easier next time.
If you are not getting the reset email or you get a message that you are not an administer on the site, make sure you are logging onto the correct site — YOUR site, not the main UNE Portfolio site. See the video below for guidance.
