Widgets are an important feature of WordPress because they enable you to customize the content your readers can access from widget-enabled sections or zones of your ePortfolio. Traditionally, widgets are little “blocks” of material added to the sidebar of a WordPress site. With the explosion of themes and options within themes, it is often possible to add widgets to a left and/or right sidebar (the margins), to a footer (the bottom of your ePortfolio), or even to the header area.
