You can control both the overall visibility of your ePortfolio by adjusting global visibility settings in your Dashboard. You can also control the visibility of individual Pages and Posts in WordPress. Together, these options enable you to find the level of privacy that you find most appropriate for the various parts of your ePortfolio.
Global Visibility Settings
The brief video below walks you through your options for controlling overall visibility of your ePortfolio from within Settings in the Dashboard.
Post & Page Visibility
Even in a completely visible and searchable ePortfolio site, it is easy to control the visibility of individual posts and pages right in the publication screen of the Dashboard. You can even password protect parts of your site. The video below shows how.
With both pages and posts, see the “Publish” menu. Select the “password protected” option to set a password for individual posts or pages. Your professors, classmates, or any visitors can only see the content of that page or post if they use that specific password (including capitals, symbols, etc.).
